“Notas Brillantes” music academy specialized in neurodivergent childrenAbstract
The present study proposes the development of an inclusive music academy specialized in providing emotional regulation support for neurodivergent children through musical education. By employing techniques from music pedagogy in conjunction with psychological guidance, the academy seeks to equip its students with the necessary tools to facilitate their social integration—one of the principal challenges faced by neurodivergent children. The institution will be led by two musicians with extensive experience in music pedagogy and will operate in strategic collaboration with a psychologist. This partnership aims to distinguish the academy not only through its commitment to inclusivity but also through the emphasis placed on the psychological support offered to both students and their parents. Within the Peruvian labor market, there are few institutions comparable to the one proposed in this study, and none incorporate such a psychopedagogical component. Consequently, this academy is envisioned as a unique model with the potential to generate a significant positive impact on the neurodivergent community.
