ARTISANAL FISHING MARKET IN PUCALLPAAbstract
This thesis focuses on the establishment of an Artisanal Fishing Market along the riverside of the Ucayali River in Pucallpa. The Ucayali region is distinguished by its high consumption of hydrobiological products; however, it currently lacks adequate infrastructure to support the commercialization of fishery products sourced from the river. Traditional markets in Pucallpa fail to meet the evolving demands of modern consumers and are characterized by health deficiencies and an overall lack of visual appeal. In response to these challenges, the project proposes the integration of the concept of In-Between Architecture, whose theory of intermediate spaces offers potential solutions to the project's identified social and architectural issues. Moreover, it aims to foster pleasant and stimulating experiences for consumers.
