Diseño interior de un Centro de Producción y Venta de Artesanía Textil en Chinchero, Cusco

Abstract

Este proyecto propone el diseño interior de un Centro de Producción y Difusión de Artesanía Textil en Chinchero, Cusco, con el objetivo de revalorar el patrimonio cultural de las tejedoras locales y fortalecer sus condiciones de trabajo. A partir de un análisis territorial y cultural, se identifica la necesidad de una infraestructura adecuada que respalde la práctica textil tradicional, una actividad de fuerte valor ancestral y de transmisión femenina. La propuesta incluye zonas demostrativas, talleres de producción, espacios de venta y áreas de aprendizaje, promoviendo el intercambio cultural entre artesanas y turistas mediante el turismo vivencial. Estos espacios se articulan para facilitar la continuidad entre la enseñanza, la producción y la comercialización de los textiles. El diseño interior integra materiales locales como adobe, piedra y madera, así como patrones textiles simbólicos propios del legado de Chinchero. La distribución espacial potencia la experiencia del usuario a través de conexiones visuales, iluminación cálida y transiciones funcionales entre espacios comunales y privados. El proyecto busca reconocer el arte textil como una tradición viva y un motor de desarrollo local, proponiendo soluciones arquitectónicas que promuevan la identidad, la inclusión y el turismo sostenible. De este modo, se plantea un espacio participativo y culturalmente arraigado para artesanas y visitantes.

This project proposes the interior design of a Textile Craft Production and Promotion Center in Chinchero, Cusco, aiming to revalue the cultural heritage of local weavers and strengthen their working conditions. Based on territorial and cultural analysis, the project identifies the need for suitable infrastructure that supports traditional textile practices-activities with strong ancestral and gender-linked significance. The designincludes demonstration areas, production workshops, sales spaces, and learning environments, promoting cultural exchange between artisans and tourists through experiential tourism. These spaces are integrated to facilitate continuity between the teaching, making, and commercialization of crafts. Interior design strategies incorporate local materials such as adobe, stone, and wood, as well as symbolic textile patterns from Chinchero's heritage. The spatial layout enhances the user experience through visual connections, warm lighting, and functional transitions between private and communal spaces. The project seeks to recognize textile art as a living tradition and a driver of local development, by offering architectural solutions that promote identity, inclusion, and sustainable tourism. It supports the creation of a participatory and culturally rooted space for both artisans and visitors.
