Abstract
Por Resolución Rectoral 18-10, de fecha 22 de abril de 2010, el sudafricano Nelson Mandela fue nombrado Doctor Honoris Causa de la Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas. Primer presidente de Sudáfrica, elegido democráticamente tras el fin del apartheid en 1994. Dejó un legado de reconciliación, justicia y dignidad humana. Promovió la paz, la democracia y los derechos humanos, inspirando movimientos globales por la libertad, la igualdad racial y el perdón colectivo.
