Sistema de gestión basado en Oracle APEX para la ejecución y seguimiento de proyectos en empresa de consultoría

Abstract

Existe una alta competitividad en el mercado de soluciones tecnológicas y consultoría, debido a esto se deben plantear alternativas para evitar redundancia de tareas o cuellos de botella ocasionados muchas veces por el trabajo manual. Cuando no se plantean soluciones frente a estos obstáculos pueden impactar en gran manera en la relación e imagen que perciben los clientes, durante el último año se identificaron errores y demoras en los pases a producción, seguimiento a los proyectos y objetivos del área, impactando directamente en la eficacia e imagen de la empresa y Objective Key Result.

A raíz de ello se propuso crear el sistema de gestión para la gerencia de desarrollo, este permite consolidar varios archivos Excel que se tenían para distintas actividades y en distintas carpetas dentro del SharePoint del área facilitando el seguimiento a los proyectos y cálculo de porcentajes, además de agilizar y lograr que las certificaciones de pases a producción sean mucho más rápidos y sencillos para los miembros del equipo.

Para llevar a cabo este sistema se utilizó una plataforma de desarrollo de aplicaciones low-code desarrollada por Oracle Corporation, junto a una API que consume la información de Jira y la programación orientada a objetos.

Al finalizar el despliegue a producción y presentación al equipo, se redujo notablemente los rechazos, el tiempo de preparación y certificación de los pases a producción, mejoro el seguimiento de proyectos y la accesibilidad a la información.

There is a high level of competitiveness in the industry for technological solutions and consulting, therefore alternatives must be proposed to avoid the redundancy of tasks or bottlenecks often caused by manual work. Without solutions for these obstacles, it could have a great impact on the relationship and image perceived by customers. During the last year, errors and delays were identified in the deployment to production, projects monitoring and objectives of the area, impacting directly on the efficiency and image of the company and Objective Key Result.

As a result, it was proposed to create the management system for the development management, this allows to consolidate several Excel files that were held for different activities and in different folders within the SharePoint of the area, to facilitate the monitoring of projects and calculation of percentages, in addition to streamline and making the certifications for deployment to production much faster and easier for team members.

To implement this system, a low-code application development platform was used by Oracle Corporation, with an API that consumes Jira information and object-oriented programming.

At the end of the deployment to production and presentation to the team, the deployment to production rejections, preparation and certification time was reduced, project tracking and information accessibility were improved
