Análisis y propuesta de indumentaria de protección personal para apicultores enfocado en la seguridad y necesidades laborales, en Lima Región

Abstract

El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo proponer una indumentaria de protección personal enfocado en la seguridad y necesidades laborales para apicultores, en Lima región. Se indagó la relevancia actual de la apicultura en el país, el perfil de su trabajador, los riesgos laborales y la oferta de indumentaria nacional para identificar las oportunidades de mejora. Este trabajo es significativo debido a la falta de investigación académica y propuestas de diseño que aborden el bienestar y seguridad de trabajadores apícolas, los cuales han aumentado en número, a la vez que tal industria. La metodología utilizada fue el enfoque Design Thinking y los participantes fueron dieciocho apicultores entrevistados. El resultado principal fue la propuesta de los tres elementos que utiliza un apicultor: el mameluco, los guantes y la careta, los cuales fueron diseñados para atender las necesidades laborales identificadas y disminuir los riesgos en el área de trabajo. La investigación realizada concluyó con la confirmación de la funcionalidad de todas las mejoras realizadas y el éxito de los objetivos, se logró mejorar la indumentaria actual y cubrir las necesidades del apicultor, aportando información al campo de diseño de moda y al campo de la seguridad y salud laboral.

The objective of this study was to develop a proposal for personal protective clothing focused on safety and labor needs for beekeepers in the Lima region. The current relevance of beekeeping in the country, the profile of its workers, occupational hazards and the supply of national clothing were investigated to identify opportunities for improvement. This work is significant due to the lack of academic research and design proposals that address the welfare and safety of beekeeping workers, which have increased in number as the industry has grown. The methodology used was the Design Thinking approach and the participants were eighteen interviewed beekeepers. The main result was the proposal of the three elements used by a beekeeper: the overalls, gloves and mask, which were designed to meet the identified labor needs and reduce the risks in the work area. The research concluded with the confirmation of the functionality of all the improvements made and the success of the objectives; it was possible to improve the current clothing and cover the needs of the beekeeper, contributing information to the field of fashion design and to the field of occupational health and safety.
