Análisis descriptivo de las imágenes y los recursos lingüísticos de las publicaciones de Instagram, de los diarios La República, Perú 21, RPP, Diario Expreso y Ojo Público sobre el informe de la CIDH en Perú en 2023

Abstract

Esta tesis analiza la intención comunicativa detrás del uso de imágenes y recursos lingüísticos en las publicaciones de Instagram de medios peruanos (La República, Perú 21, RPP, Diario Expreso y Ojo Público) sobre el informe de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH) acerca de la situación de los Derechos Humanos en Perú en 2023. Dicho informe surgió tras las protestas desencadenadas por el fallido golpe de Estado del expresidente Pedro Castillo y el inicio del mandato de la presidenta Dina Boluarte. La pregunta de investigación busca determinar cuál es la intención particular de las imágenes y recursos lingüísticos en las publicaciones de estos medios. El objetivo principal es analizar dichas intenciones, con el apoyo de objetivos específicos que describen y analizan el uso de estos elementos visuales y textuales. El estudio, de carácter aplicado y con un enfoque cualitativo, se basa en un análisis descriptivo-comparativo de 19 publicaciones de Instagram seleccionadas. Mediante una matriz de análisis de contenido, se exploran las estrategias comunicativas y narrativas utilizadas por cada medio, centrándose en cómo las imágenes y el lenguaje refuerzan la narrativa de conflicto y poder en torno a los Derechos Humanos. Los principales hallazgos indican que las imágenes no solo representan eventos, sino que construyen una narrativa persuasiva. Asimismo, los recursos lingüísticos destacan por su enfoque en la credibilidad y la emoción, reflejando las estrategias editoriales de cada medio para conectar con su audiencia.

This thesis analyzes the communicative intent behind the use of images and linguistic resources in the Instagram posts of Peruvian media outlets (La República, Perú 21, RPP, Diario Expreso, and Ojo Público) regarding the report by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) about the human rights situation in Peru in 2023. This report emerged following the protests triggered by the failed coup d'état of former President Pedro Castillo and the beginning of President Dina Boluarte’s administration. The research question aims to determine the specific intent behind the images and linguistic resources used in these media outlets' posts. The main objective is to analyze these intentions, supported by specific objectives that describe and examine the use of these visual and textual elements. The study, which is applied and qualitative in nature, is based on a descriptive-comparative analysis of 19 selected Instagram posts. Using a content analysis matrix, the communicative and narrative strategies used by each media outlet are explored, focusing on how the images and language reinforce the narrative of conflict and power surrounding human rights. The main findings indicate that the images do not merely represent events but also construct a persuasive narrative. Likewise, the linguistic resources stand out for their focus on credibility and emotion, reflecting the editorial strategies of each outlet to connect with their audience.
