Abstract

Pregunta de investigación: El estudio se centra en alternativas de gestión aplicables en el contexto de la Residencia Geriátrica Señor de los Milagros. Se busca determinar la mejor alternativa adaptable a su situación, considerando la demanda como factor crítico desde un enfoque estratégico y operativo.

Métodos de investigación: Se adopta un diseño de investigación mixto, permitiendo el análisis tanto cualitativo como cuantitativo de los factores que afectan la competitividad de la residencia. Para la recopilación de datos, se consideran fuentes documentales y testimoniales de la organización, así como herramientas de análisis, es decir, PESTEL, cinco fuerzas de Porter, matrices FODA, EFE y EFI, enfocadas en el contexto interno y externo de la residencia.

Hallazgos: Los hallazgos preliminares destacan que el principal problema es la disminución de demanda en el servicio del cuidado geriátrico, teniendo un impacto en la calidad del servicio y la operatividad, considerando el entorno económico, social y cultural del centro y siendo determinantes en la percepción de potenciales clientes que requieran los servicios de la residencia.

Implicaciones: Los resultados tienen importantes implicaciones para la gestión estratégica de la Residencia Geriátrica Señor de los Milagros, ya que identificar el problema y brindar alternativas ajustadas a la organización, tomando en cuenta factores internos y externos puede contribuir a aumentar la reputación y la sostenibilidad de la residencia, adaptando estrategias y gestionando eficazmente los recursos, alineándolas a la vez con las necesidades de los usuarios y sus familias, fortaleciendo la posición de la residencia en el mercado local.

The research seeks to determine a management alternative that adapts to the situation of the residence, considering demand as a critical factor from a strategic and operational approach.

Research Method: The research adopts a mixed research design, allowing both qualitative and quantitative analysis of the factors that affect the competitiveness of the residence. For data collection, documentary and testimonial sources of the organization are considered, as well as analysis tools, that is, PESTEL, Porter's five forces, SWOT, EFE and IFE matrices, focused on the internal and external context of the organization. residence.

Findings: The preliminary findings highlight that the main problem is the decrease in demand in the geriatric care service, having an impact on the quality of the service and operation, considering the economic, social and cultural environment of the center, which are determinants in the perception of potential clients who may require the services of the residence.

Implications: The results have important implications for the strategic management of the Señor de los Milagros Geriatric Residence, since identifying the problem and providing alternatives related to the organization, taking into account internal and external factors, can contribute to increasing the reputation and sustainability of the residence, adapting strategies and effectively managing resources, aligning them with the needs of users and their families, strengthening the position of the residence in the local market.
