Sistema web basado en microservicios para el registro y gestión de notas de los estudiantes de las Instituciones Educativas del Perú

Abstract

Se presenta una iniciativa para transformar el Sistema de Evaluación Educativa (SISEDU) en Perú, mediante la implementación de una plataforma web fundamentada en microservicios. Esta renovación surge como respuesta a las limitaciones que presentaba el sistema hasta 2022, cuando su estructura monolítica ocasionaba diversos inconvenientes operativos, incluyendo dificultades para escalar, mantener y adaptar el sistema a los cambios en la normativa educativa. Como respuesta a estas problemáticas, se optó por implementar una arquitectura de microservicios, permitiendo que cada elemento del sistema opere de forma autónoma. Esta decisión facilita la realización de modificaciones sin comprometer el funcionamiento general. En su desarrollo se incorporaron tecnologías de vanguardia y se adoptó la metodología Scrum para optimizar el proceso de implementación. La solución se construyó considerando la compatibilidad con el ecosistema Microsoft y se sometió a diversos tipos de pruebas para garantizar su óptimo funcionamiento. La meta central del proyecto es lograr una reducción del 80% o más en el tiempo necesario para elaborar reportes académicos, lo que facilitará una mejor toma de decisiones en los centros educativos. El nuevo sistema también se destaca por su capacidad de adaptación a los requerimientos regulatorios y por ofrecer una interfaz más amigable para el personal docente y administrativo. Las conclusiones del proyecto demuestran que la adopción de microservicios mejora de forma visible la eficiencia operativa, minimiza el tiempo de resolución de incidencias y asegura la capacidad de crecimiento del sistema. Esta modernización no solo resuelve los problemas existentes en SISEDU, sino que también prepara a las instituciones educativas para afrontar futuros retos tecnológicos y operativos.

An initiative is presented to transform the Educational Evaluation System (SISEDU) in Peru, through the implementation of a web platform based on microservices. This renovation arises as a response to the limitations of the system until 2022, when its monolithic structure caused several operational drawbacks, including difficulties to scale, maintain and adapt the system to changes in educational regulations. In response to these problems, we chose to implement a microservices architecture, allowing each element of the system to operate autonomously. This decision facilitates the implementation of modifications without compromising the overall operation. In its development, cutting-edge technologies were incorporated and the Scrum methodology was adopted to optimize the implementation process. The solution was built considering compatibility with the Microsoft ecosystem and was subjected to various types of tests to ensure its optimal operation. The central goal of the project is to achieve a 80% or more reduction in the time required to prepare academic reports, which will facilitate better decision making in educational centers. The new system also stands out for its ability to adapt to regulatory requirements and for offering a more user-friendly interface for teaching and administrative staff. The project's findings demonstrate that the adoption of microservices visibly improves operational efficiency, minimizes incident resolution time and ensures the system's ability to grow. This modernization not only solves existing problems in SISEDU, but also prepares educational institutions to face future technological and operational challenges.
