Impact of the FTA between Peru and South Korea on exports of copper, lead, zinc and concentrate minerals during the period 2008-2023Abstract
This study will analyze the impact of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Peru and South Korea on the exports of copper, lead, zinc, and their concentrates during the period 2008-2023. The choice of these minerals is due to their high international demand and significant impact on Peru's economic development, as they represent approximately 65% of Peruvian exports to South Korea, underscoring their crucial role in the country's foreign trade. An augmented gravity model will be employed, considering variables such as the existence of the FTA, distance, GDP of both countries, national production, bilateral real exchange rate, and regulatory quality.
