La presente investigación buscó determinar la relación que existe entre el afrontamiento académico y apoyo familiar en universitarios durante la pandemia de la COVID-19 en Lima Metropolitana. Así como identificar diferencias en ambas variables según edad y género. El tipo de estudio fue cuantitativo y diseño correlacional. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 140 estudiantes universitarios de ambos sexos (70% mujeres, 28.60% hombres), del octavo al décimo ciclo. Se utilizaron la Escala de afrontamiento del estrés académico (A-CEA) y la Escala de Evaluación de las Relaciones Intrafamiliares (E.R.I.). Como resultados, se encontró una correlación positiva y estadísticamente significativa entre las dimensiones reevaluación positiva, búsqueda de apoyo y planificación de la variable afrontamiento del estrés académico con unión y apoyo, y expresión de la variable relaciones intrafamiliares (r entre .38 y .51, p < .05). Asimismo, una correlación negativa y estadísticamente significativa con la dimensión dificultades de la variable relaciones intrafamiliares (r entre -.31 y -.18 , p < .05). Respecto a los análisis comparativos, no se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas al comparar las dimensiones de afrontamiento del estrés académico y relaciones intrafamiliares en la variable de género (p > .05). En síntesis, existe una correlación positiva entre el estrés académico y relaciones intrafamiliares.The present research aimed to determine the relationship between academic coping and family support among university students during the COVID-19 pandemic in Metropolitan Lima. Additionally, it sought to identify differences in both variables according to age and gender. The study was quantitative in nature with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 140 university students of both sexes (70% women, 28.60% men), from the eighth to the tenth cycle. The Academic Coping Stress Scale (A-CEA) and the Family Relationship Assessment Scale (E.R.I.) were utilized. Results showed a positive and statistically significant correlation between the dimensions of positive reappraisal, seeking support, and planning of the academic stress coping variable with cohesion and support, and the expression of the family relationship variable (r between .38 and .51, p < .05). Likewise, a negative and statistically significant correlation was found with the dimension of family relationship difficulties (r between -.31 and -.18, p < .05). Regarding comparative analyses, no statistically significant differences were found when comparing the dimensions of academic stress coping and family relationships in terms of gender (p > .05). In summary, there is a positive correlation between academic stress and family relationships.
