Social stereotypes abandon the male gender when talking about anorexia. The objective was to determine the relationship between emotional dysregulation and self-esteem in men who overcame anorexia, as well as to make a comparison according to age group. The study is quantitative and the instruments used were Rosenberg's Self-Esteem Scale (1965) and the Emotional Regulation Difficulties Scale (Bada & Pizarro, 2019). The sample was made up of 150 young men who were between 18 and 30 years old (M=21.28; SD=2.91). Based on the results, no significant differences were found depending on the age group but it was determined that there is a negative and statistically significant correlation between the variables self-esteem and emotional dysregulation (rho= -.180, p <.05); however, the magnitude of the effect is irrelevant (r < .20). Finally, the relationship of two factors is not relevant for the development or maintenance of anorexia.
