This thesis proposes an urban art cultural center in the Callao district that allows the spatial interrelation between the building, its environment and the artist and in this way promote cultural activities. All of them will be achieved through the principles of mat building that refers to this spatial need and an architecture capable of designing open systems that can be modified or adapted in relation to the existing landscape and urban fabric. Callo is presented as the ideal setting since in recent years it has been hosting different manifestations of urban art. For this reason, a cultural center in this district will provide infrastructure support and spaces necessary for learning and practice. Thanks to urban art, people and/or groups develop their artistic skills and strengthen their relationship with the city through public performances such as dance (break dance), music (rap), theater (circus), graffiti and muralism. In this way, urban art is identified as a movement that involves young people and that by providing them with an adequate infrastructure, they can reach a level of professionalism to become the highest representatives of our country.
