The goal of this psychometric research was to determine the evidence of validity and reliability of the Academic Self-Concept Scale (Méndez Vera & Gálvez Nieto, 2018). They participated 211 students from private universities between 18 and 33 years old (M = 20.7; DE = 2.88), from Metropolitan Lima. From the confirmatory factor analysis, the results provided adequate fit indices (χ2=78.4; CFI=.964; RMSEA=0.0476) for an internal structure of two dimensions: Perceived Performance and Academic Self-efficacy. Finally, the relationship with another variable, positive and significant correlations were found between Perceived Performance (r=.540) and Academic Self-efficacy (r=704) with the Scale of Perceived Self-efficacy in Academic Situations. The results show that the adaptation of the EAA presents adequate evidence of validity and reliability that supports its use as a measure of academic self-concept in students from private universities in Metropolitan Lima.
