This study is based on the research conducted by the authors, which has been titled " Lean-SLP production model to reduce lead time in SMEs in the plastics industry: A Empirical Research in Perú" (Cordova et al., 2022). Which consisted of: The current environment of the manufacturing sector increasingly demands better performance in terms of the operational efficiency of processes to maintain an acceptable level of competitiveness. In this sense, the study of the literature has identified the delay in the delivery of orders as one of the main problems that affect the plastic manufacturing sector. For this reason, Inroplas S.A.C. as an objective company, since the initial diagnosis made indicated that it presents said problem. This research suggests the design of a production optimization model to reduce order delivery time that integrates the tools provided by Lean Manufacturing and Systematic Layout Planning methodologies. This will seek to reduce unproductive times caused by mold changes and unscheduled machine stops, as well as unnecessary transport within the plant.
