Este estudio tiene como principal objetivo examinar la influencia que ejercen los estilos de liderazgo en el desempeño laboral en las organizaciones manufactureras del sector alimentos. Dicha investigación se realizó en el sector manufactura de alimentos, ya que este es uno de los sectores con superior actividad económica del Perú y además genera el 43% de empleos en las grandes empresas de la industria. Además, es importante el estudio entre las variables, ya que ayuda a que el área de Recursos Humanos y los managers de las empresas tengan un conocimiento más amplio de la manera en cómo deben guiar a sus colaboradores y cual estilo de liderazgo es el más adecuado y se adapta a los requerimientos de la organización. Para la presente indagación se ha realizado un estudio causal, aplicado y cuantitativo, utilizando un diseño transversal y no experimental. De igual manera, para constatar la hipótesis planteada en el estudio se hizo uso del cuestionario Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ 5X) adaptado de Rodríguez et al. (2017) para medir los estilos de liderazgo y el Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) adaptado de Ramos-Villagrasa et al. (2019) para el desempeño laboral. Estos instrumentos fueron aplicados a 385 colaboradores del sector manufactura de alimentos de Lima Metropolitana, obteniendo como resultado que efectivamente los estilos de liderazgo influyen significativamente en el desempeño laboral de las empresas manufactureras del sector de alimentos en el contexto del Covid-19 en Lima Metropolitana en el 2022. Estos resultados son relevantes ya que ayudan a brindar conocimientos a empresas del sector manufactura de alimentos, de forma que estos ayuden a aumentar el desempeño laboral que mantienen actualmente los colaboradores, todo con el adecuado uso de los estilos de liderazgo para así generar mejores resultados para la organización.The main objective of this study is to examine the influence exerted by leadership styles on job performance in manufacturing organizations in the food sector. This research was carried out in the food manufacturing sector, since this is one of the sectors with the highest economic activity in Peru and also generates 43% of jobs in large companies in the industry. In addition, the study between the variables is important since it helps the Human Resources area and the managers of the companies to have a broader knowledge of the way in which they should guide their collaborators and which leadership style is the most appropriate. and adapts to the requirements of the organization. For the present investigation, a causal, applied, and quantitative study has been carried out, using a cross-sectional and non-experimental design. Similarly, to verify the hypothesis proposed in the study, the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ 5X) adapted from Rodríguez et al. (2017) to measure leadership styles and the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) adapted from Ramos-Villagrasa et al. (2019) for job performance. These instruments were applied to 385 employees of the food manufacturing sector of Metropolitan Lima, obtaining as a result that leadership styles do significantly influence the job performance of manufacturing companies in the food sector in the context of Covid-19 in Metropolitan Lima in the 2022. These results are relevant since they help to provide knowledge to companies in the food manufacturing sector, so that they help to increase the job performance that employees currently maintain, all with the proper use of leadership styles in order to generate better results for the organization.
