Propuesta de mejora para reducir el exceso de stock mediante la gestión de inventarios en una empresa comercializadora en Lima

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación estudia las diversas causas y motivos que generan el exceso de stock en una empresa comercializadora de productos de respaldo eléctrico. Entre los problemas que ocasionan dicho problema se tiene a los incorrectos pronósticos de demanda, ocasionados por la ausencia de métodos adecuados y la utilización de información desactualizada, y diferencia en el stock físico y el stock teórico, generada por el desorden presente en el almacén y los problemas de identificación de productos. Debido a eso, se propone el uso de una metodología que permita identificar los métodos de pronóstico adecuado de acuerdo a las características que sigan el patrón de la demanda, como tendencia y estacionalidad, la implementación de la política de inventario (R, S), que permita tener una mejor gestión del inventario almacenado, y la implementación de la herramienta 5s, de modo que el almacén se encuentre en correctas condiciones para realizar un adecuado proceso de registro de inventarios, donde se detalle la posición de los productos luego de realizar una análisis que permita encontrar la ubicación ideal de estos dentro del almacén.

The present project of investigation studies various motives that generate overstock in a commercialization company that sell electrical backup products. Among the problems studied that causes said problems, we have the inadequate demand forecasting methods, which are originated from the absence of well-known and stablished methods and the use of outdated data, and the inventory inaccuracy, which is caused by the clutterness of the warehouse and the problems caused by the identification of products. Because of that, the proposal consists of a methodology that allows the identification of the best forecasting method to apply depending on the characteristics that the demand pattern follows, like seasonality and tendency, the implementation of the inventory management model (R, S), which allows the possibility to manage the inventory in the warehouse in a more efficient way, and the implementation of the 5S methodology, in order to reassure the conditions of the warehouse are optimal to make a better registration process of stock and give more attention to detail to where the products should be storaged in.
