Intervention operations guide from the form and space for the recycling of industrial buildings for collective housingAbstract
The thesis raises the hypothesis that industrial buildings, in a terrain vague situation, buildings or inactive areas of the city (De Sola-Morales, 2003), can be recycled for collective housing through intervention operations related to their exterior shape and spatiality. inside. Since, through the analysis of the buildings inside these factories, it is observed that there are similarities in terms of their characteristics and the effects they cause, which can be addressed with general operations taking advantage of these similarities. The characteristics of its exterior shape have effects on the exterior and interior of the lot and the spatial characteristics have effects on the interior of said buildings. The formal analysis, focused on the urban, and the spatial analysis, focused more on the use and possibilities of grouping the housing units to the existing spatiality, generate intervention operations for the recycling of said factories for collective housing.
