Juicio mediático a Mirella Huamán por Al Estilo Juliana y 90 Noche tras el asesinato de su hija Camila a inicios de marzo de 2020

Abstract

El presente trabajo analiza las características de la construcción del juicio mediático a Mirella Huamán Santiago tras el secuestro, desaparición y asesinato de su hija Camila cubierto por los programas televisivos Al Estilo Juliana (Grupo ATV) y 90 Noche (Latina Televisión) a inicios de marzo del 2020. La finalidad es reconocer el nivel de intervención de los periodistas en este tipo de noticias, la manera en cómo el hecho es presentado, sus características narrativas más frecuentes para que sea considerado como juicio mediático hacia la protagonista, quien fue revictimizada y criticada por los medios; afectando así su dignidad humana, estereotipando su vida íntima y su rol de madre; ejerciendo violencia simbólica y mediática sobre ella. En ese sentido, se identificó y analizó los criterios periodísticos relacionados con el tema para reconocer la importancia de la construcción narrativa periodística. Para llegar a este punto, se utilizó una metodología de estudio de caso, de nivel descriptivo-comparativo y diseño no experimental. Este análisis ha permitido comprender el nivel de influencia que tienen los programas de carácter noticioso de gran sintonía en la audiencia, ya que al contar con un reconocimiento amplio y positivo entre los ciudadanos se les tolera el uso de declaraciones sesgadas o creencias personales que desacreditan al ser humano. Incluso, este caso evidencia mitos y creencias sobre el rol de la maternidad en la sociedad peruana, pues aún se cree que una madre debe tener mayor responsabilidad y hacer mayores sacrificios para el cuidado de sus hijos; mientras que el padre podría estar exonerado de estas obligaciones y quien sí tendría derecho de salir a divertirse con amigos.

This paper analyzes the characteristics of the construction of the media trial of Mirella Huamán Santiago after the kidnapping, disappearance and murder of her daughter Camila covered by the television programs Al Estilo Juliana (Grupo ATV) and 90 Noche (Latina Televisión) at the beginning of March 2020. The purpose is to recognize the level of intervention of journalists in this type of news, the way in which the fact is presented, its most frequent narrative characteristics to be considered as media judgment towards the protagonist, who was revictimized and criticized by the media; thus affecting her human dignity, stereotyping her intimate life and her role as a mother; exercising symbolic and media violence on her. In this sense, the journalistic criteria related to the topic were identified and analyzed in order to recognize the importance of the journalistic narrative construction. To reach this point, a case study methodology was used, with a descriptive-comparative level and non-experimental design. This analysis has allowed us to understand the level of influence that highly tuned news programs have on the audience, since having a wide and positive recognition among citizens tolerates the use of biased statements or personal beliefs that discredit the human being. This case even evidence myths and beliefs about the role of motherhood in Peruvian society, since it is still believed that a mother should have greater responsibility and make greater sacrifices for the care of her children, while the father could be exempted from these obligations and who would have the right to go out and have fun with friends.
