Optimization of the spinning process to increase its efficiency using lean manufacturing tools in a textile companyAbstract
The efficiency of the continuous spinning machines in a Peruvian textile company present indicators below the sector because they are not taking full advantage of lean manufacturing tools. It is relevant to carry out this study because there is a gap in the literature related to spinning machines. Therefore, our study aims to solve this problem through an improvement model based on the PDCA cycle that allows the use of Lean tools, to reduce and standardize setup times and improve the maintenance plan. For this purpose, machine OEE data before and after using the proposed model were analyzed to come up with a value above the 75.09% that represents the sector.
