Development of emotional awareness and regulation in 3 and 4 year old preschoolersAbstract
The main objective of this TSP (Work of Professional Sufficiency) is to demonstrate how important it is to develop emotional competencies such as: emotional awareness and regulation, from early childhood. The proposal "Calm Space" aims to develop emotional awareness and consequently the regulation of emotions in preschool children; through the application of strategies based on play, sensory experiences and artistic languages. At the end of the implementation of the first milestone of the proposal, it was possible to verify that 100% not only identified their own and their peers' emotions, but were able to express them through gestures, body movements, verbally and artistically. However, not all children were able to recognize the causality of their emotions. This ability is still in process and is expected to be covered throughout the project.
