Use of promotional actions of the Peruvian independent artist on the platform of Tik Tok, case: Milena WhartonAbstract
Este estudio se centra en el uso de las acciones promocionales en la aplicación de Tik Tok de la artista independiente Milena Wharton. Para ello, se realizó un estudió Mixto, en el que se empleó la técnica de análisis de contenido de dos campañas: “Promoción de la canción Warmisitay” y “Viña de Mar”, se analizaron un total de 51 videos que se distribuían entre conocer más sobre su vida, su contenido musical, representación andina e informativos; la segunda técnica que se empleó fue una entrevista al equipo de management de la artista. La premisa de la investigación es saber qué acciones promocionales son de relevancia para incentivar el contenido musical de la artista dentro de la plataforma de Tik Tok. La investigación mostró que uno de los principales enfoques es la narrativa con lo que se crea el contenido. Este último, debe ser atractivo visualmente, creativo, auténtico, generar interés y de rápido consumo.This study focuses on the use of promotional actions in the Tik Tok application of the independent artist Milena Wharton. For this purpose, a mixed study was conducted, using the technique of content analysis of two campaigns: "Promotion of the song Warmisitay" and "Viña de Mar", a total of 51 videos were analyzed, which were distributed between knowing more about her life, her musical content, Andean representation and informative; the second technique used was an interview with the artist's management team. The premise of the research is to know what promotional actions are relevant to encourage the artist's musical content within the Tik Tok platform. The research showed that one of the main focuses is the narrative with which the content is created. The latter must be visually appealing, creative, authentic, generate interest and be quickly consumed.
