Education and use of modern contraceptive methods in PeruAbstract
The present research aims to analyze the effect of the educational level of women of reproductive age and their partners on the use of modern contraceptive methods in Peru in 2021. To achieve this goal, data from ENDES was used, and a multinomial logistic regression model was employed. The results demonstrate a positive association between the education of both women and their partners with the use of modern methods. In addition, it was found that factors such as having a higher household wealth, the woman being of non-native origin, having a higher number of children, and being in an urban area increase the probability of using modern methods. However, the employment status of the woman was not significant in the results obtained.
