Psychometric analysis of the perceived motivational climate questionnaire in sport in young amateur Peruvian athletesAbstract
The objective of this study was to determine the psychometric properties of the Perceived Motivational Climate Questionnaire in Sport (PMCSQ-2) in a non-probabilistic conviction sample of 336 amateur athletes (288 men and 48 women) between 18 and 40 years of age. belonging to different team sports (Football 59.1%, Futsal 16.1%, Soccer 7 12.1%, Basketball 7.4% and Volleyball 5.9%). According to the analyzes carried out, it was found that the factorial structure found did not coincide with the original proposal of the PMCSQ-2 instrument, starting to have a single dimension that contemplates the ego and task climate factors. The results obtained confirm the new one-dimensional factorial structure of the PCMSQ-2 (χ2 = 99.5, CFI = .93, RMSEA = .02 [CI90% .00, .04]. It was also found that the reliability due to internal consistency was acceptable. (Alpha coefficient = .61 and McDonald's Omega = .69) ego (r=.360; p≤ .01) and task orientation (r=.329; p≤ .01).
