Residence for students of higher education in the district of Pueblo LibreAbstract
This research work seeks to solve one of the main problems that young people go through when they want to study at a university in the city of Lima: accommodation. It is for this reason that the architectural project entitled "Residence for higher education students in Pueblo Libre" has been developed. The project emphasized architectural permeability, a concept that seeks the integration of common spaces for socialization with private spaces for rest. For the design of the project, three internationally developed projects were taken as reference: the CROUS Pajol residence, the Poljane residence, and the Edward’s University residence; and a reference developed at the local level, which is the MODO residence project. The considerations that were taken into account for the design of the project were the needs of the users, the areas of the architectural program and the urban environment. The resulting design is a residence for 420 students that has 295 modules of rooms divided into five types: single module, module for four people, module for the disabled, single apartment and double apartment. Likewise, five functional packages were established: the accommodation area, the administrative area, the complementary services area, the services area and the commercial area. Finally, the proposed project will serve as a benchmark for the development of university residences in the city of Lima, a place where the construction of this type of buildings is necessary.
