Proposal for the systematization of the finishes in masonry walls by using projectable mortar for plastering in LimaAbstract
In the present work a proposal of mortar applied using a projection machine is elaborated, with the purpose of systematizing the finishes in masonry walls in Lima. This will allow to increase the efficiency in the finishing process, by reducing the waste generated by the traditional method and guaranteeing the quality of the finishes, optimizing the time and cost allocated to the finishing processes by at least 20% and 15%, respectively, compared to the traditional method. Twelve sprayed mortar mix designs with Portland cement type I and Portland cement type II, water-cement radio (w/c) of .0.40 and 0.50 and two types of setting accelerating additives and two types of superplasticizers were evaluated. The optimum mixture was determined by evaluating the characteristics of the tested mixtures in the fresh and hardened state. Likewise, a cost-benefit analysis was carried out between the proposal and the traditional method.
