The objective of this research is to describe the social representations of sexual infidelity in high school students. To this end, a qualitative study with an interpretative socioconstructivist design was made, in which semi-structured interviews were applied to 10 high school students between the ages of 16 and 17. The results indicate that the main sources of information regarding sexual infidelity are their friends. Furthermore, they claim sexual infidelity is not a good deed and those who partake in it are immature, yet it is a common practice encouraged by their social circle. It is concluded that teenagers form a negative representation about sexual infidelity which is normalized.
