Engagement and attitudes towards organizational change in employees of a mining company in Ica (Perú)Abstract
A nivel mundial están surgiendo cambios tecnologícos en el rubro mínero, estos con el transcurso del tiempo serán empleados en Perú, por lo que necesitamos adaptarnos a estos cambios para sobrevivir en el mercado. Es por ello que el presente estudio tuvo como objetivo ver la relación entre el engagement y las actitudes hacia el cambio organizacional en colaboradores de una empresa minera de Ica (Perú). Así como, identificar la relación de ambas variables con la edad y tiempo laborando. Se planteó un estudio de diseño no experimental de estrategia asociativa con diseño correlacional simple en 203 colaboradores (96% hombres y el 4% mujeres) con una edad media de 40 años (DE = 8.21). Se aplicó los cuestionarios Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) y Actitudes hacia el cambio (AEC). Los resultados mostraron que existe una correlación entre el engagement y la aceptación al cambio. Se concluye que las dimensiones de vigor y dedicación son las únicas que se relacionan positiva y significativamente con la actitud de aceptación. Además, no se encontró una correlación entre ambas variables según la edad y tiempo laborando.Technological changes are emerging worldwide in the mining industry, these over time will be used in Peru, so we need to adapt to these changes to survive in the market. That is why the present study aimed to see the relationship between engagement and attitudes towards organizational change in employees of a mining company in Ica (Peru). As well as, identify the relationship of both variables with age and time working. A non-experimental design study of associative strategy with simple correlational design was proposed in 203 collaborators (96% men and 4% women) with a mean age of 40 years (SD = 8.21). The Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) and Attitudes Towards Change (AEC) questionnaires were applied. The results showed that there is a correlation between engagement and acceptance of change. It is concluded that the dimensions of vigor and dedication are the only ones that are positively and significantly related to the attitude of acceptance. In addition, no correlation was found between both variables according to age and time working.
