La presente investigación tiene como propósito analizar el impacto de pertenecer a un grupo etario en esta ocasión Millennial sobre la probabilidad de ahorrar frente a generaciones pasadas. En base a ello se logra obtener un resultado que evidencia que en efecto pertenecer a una generación más joven genera un impacto positivo en la probabilidad de ahorrar. Ello demuestra que en el Perú se está desarrollando un comportamiento más ahorrativo conforme van pasado las generaciones, por lo que el ahorro voluntario forma parte del ciclo de vida de la persona al momento de personas sobre sus ingresos a futuro o en la etapa de jubilación. Para el análisis de la evaluación de impacto se utilizó el modelo de regresión discontinua.The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of belonging to an age group on this Millennial on the probability of saving compared to past generations. Based on this, it is possible to obtain a result that shows that indeed belonging to a younger generation generates a positive impact on the probability of saving. This shows that in Peru a more thrifty behavior is developing as generations go by, so voluntary savings are part of the life cycle of the person at the time of people on their future income or in the retirement stage. For the analysis of the impact evaluation, the discontinuous regression model was used.
