Validation of a sexual satisfaction scale in users of social networks in Metropolitan LimaAbstract
The objective of this study was to evaluate the validity and reliability of the New Sexual Satisfaction Scale (NSSS) in young Peruvians. The participants were 300 young people between 21 and 30 years old (M = 25.10, SD = 2.2, 150 men and 150 women, the NSSS and the Sexual Satisfaction Index (ISS) were administered. The confirmatory factor analysis resulted in an adequate adjustment for the two-dimensional structure (χ2 = 568.64, CFI = .922, RMSEA = .098) with factor loadings between .387 and .611 for the first and the second between .520 and .640, an omega coefficient of .70 was found (person-centered) and .79 (partner-centered). The two dimensions of the NSSS showed positive and moderate correlations with the ISS. The adapted version of the NSSS is a valid and reliable instrument for measuring sexual satisfaction in a sample of young Peruvians.
