The objective of this study was to describe the experience of grief work in humanistic psychotherapists in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The study was carried out based on a qualitative methodology with a phenomenological design, in which 10 humanistic psychotherapists participated with different approaches: Gestalt, Logotherapy and Person-Centered Therapy. In-depth interviews were used as the main technique to collect information. The findings reflect that the process of adaptation to virtual psychotherapy showed resistance and technological and personal difficulties. However, the demand of the consultants promoted the creativity and flexibility of the psychotherapists, where the support, validation and accompaniment of the consultants stood out. In addition, self-care was a fundamental practice to help mourn the death of a loved one. Finally, this study strengthens the line of practical research around grief work in psychotherapists.es_PE
