Teachers' perceptions on the use of gamification as a teaching-learning technique in a private institution of LimaAbstract
The main objective of this research work is to analyze the perceptions of teachers about the use of gamification as a teaching-learning technique in a private institution in Lima. For which a qualitative approach of phenomenological design was used with the application of an interview to a total of 14 teachers from a private institution. It is concluded that teachers have a concept inclined to the practical part of gamification and not so much to the theoretical one. Gamification from the teaching perspective is beneficial and the most appropriate for the current context, characterized by education in virtual spaces. Teachers maintain that motivation, capturing interest and feedback from students are the factors that allow the best development of skills, but that gamification should not be used exclusively, but must be used with other more efficient strategies. Therefore, it is that teachers have to show mastery in techniques and methodologies in teaching-learning in virtual environments, so that in this way they can manifest the benefits of gamification.
