Analysis of the coverage of the journalistic program 90 central (Latina Noticias) on the information referring to the COVID-19 pandemic in the month of March 2020Abstract
When the quarantine began, the information available about the coronavirus was limited. The collective hysteria and alarm in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic brought with it a gigantic wave of false information and conspiracy hoaxes that spread immediately on social networks. Consequently, the media, especially traditional journalistic media such as television, became indispensable. However, the coverage of this event was different in each of the media. An aspect that, apart from being related to the journalistic vision of each one of them, was because the context itself limited physical contact and the possibility of walking the streets freely and safely. For this reason, in the present work we will seek to analyze the changes in the coverage of the journalistic media Latina Noticias about the COVID-19 pandemic in the month of March, an event that meant a change in the way of providing information.
