Impact of the Covid-19 infodemics on the audience: Analysis of the newscast Al Estilo JulianaAbstract
El presente trabajo busca analizar el impacto de la infodemia sobre el Covid-19 en la audiencia que generó el noticiero “Al Estilo Juliana” emitido entre el 13 y el 17 de abril de 2020. La investigación tiene un enfoque mixto y de nivel descriptivo. Se realizó un análisis de contenido a través del empleo fichas de observación y también un ‘focus group’, además de encuestas y entrevistas a expertos sobre el tema tratado. Con esta investigación se buscó demostrar que la infodemia periodística sobre el Covid-19 fue parte del programa “Al Estilo Juliana” y ha originado que los televidentes desarrollen trastornos de ansiedad y depresión, además de que se confundan o duden sobre las medidas de prevención.This paper seeks to analyze the impact of the infodemics about Covid-19 on the audience generated by the newscast "Al Estilo Juliana" broadcasted between April 13 and 17, 2020. The research has a mixed approach and descriptive level. A content analysis was carried out through the use of observation cards and a focus group, as well as surveys and interviews with experts on the topic. This research sought to demonstrate that the journalistic infodemics on Covid-19 was part of the program "Al Estilo Juliana" and has caused viewers to develop anxiety and depression disorders, in addition to being confused or doubtful about prevention measures
