Lima is a city of 9 million 847 thousand inhabitants (INEI-2021 projection), which has had exponential growth over the last 70 years due to different social, economic and other factors. It is a city with many problems, but perhaps the one that affects all its inhabitants is transport and mobility. Currently, our transport system is collapsed due to the large increase in population, the few territorial planning policies, the non-existent transport reform and the absence of a road infrastructure according to the 21st century. This thesis proposes a reflection on how through new urban infrastructures such as intermodals, places of exchange of modes of transport, it is possible to address and contribute to the improvement of mobility problems and how they directly and indirectly influence the improvement of the quality of life of citizens. The “INTERMODAL ATOCONGO” project is located in “Lima Sur” having an immediate influence on the neighboring districts (Santiago de Surco, Chorrillos, San Juan de Miraflores, Villa El Salvador and Villa María del Triunfo). It arises from an analysis of current urban conditions and transportation in the metropolis. The project consists of creating an urban facility where different means of transport converge in an orderly manner, being able to be motorized or non-motorized. Achieving a great urban node that enhances urban, social and economic development as the axis of the South Lima centrality.es_PE
