Business model for the development of an application for buying and selling second-hand books: QuillqaraAbstract
In the present project, the research for the validation of the business model of an application that allows buying and selling of second-hand books will be developed. The business idea is aimed at two customer segments: people who want to sell unused books and people who want to buy second-hand books in good condition. This digital platform has books of the academic, literature and general culture genres. For the project research, experiments were carried out that gave us information about the needs and preferences of both users, as well as real data that allowed us to project our sales and define our expenses. Within these experiments, each part of the proposed business model and the interaction between the user and the prototype of the application to be developed were validated. In order to get closer to our customer segments, we developed a digital marketing plan for our social networks and this allowed us to generate a relationship with our customers. In this sense, the data collected in the different experiments was the necessary basis to carry out the initial cost structure, which was then deepened into a complete cash flow for our business idea projected to 3 years. In addition to this, the analysis and calculation of the financing that the project would receive from the investor and us ,the founders, was carried out. Finally, Quillqara proved to be an innovative project with possible positive results in the future despite the situation.
