Propuesta de mejora basada en Lean Logistics mediante un enfoque Kaizen para incrementar el on time efectivo de las operaciones de distribución de un operador logístico en el Perú

Abstract

En el contexto actual, la logística peruana ha evidenciado un golpe importante por la pandemia del Covid-19, sin embargo representa una gran oportunidad de mejora dado que se implementarán nuevos protocolos de servicios, alta demanda de servicios de distribución ante pedidos digitales de diferentes tipos de productos y activación proyectos de inversión. Por ello, se debe de reducir ciertos problemas que dificultan la rápida distribución de productos en el sector logístico. Uno de los problemas que se ha identificado es la baja eficiencia de los procesos logísticos, donde radica desde la recepción de la mercadería hasta su entrega al cliente final, ocasionando incidencias y esto reflejado en penalidades. En ese sentido, el objetivo principal de esta investigación es la propuesta de mejora basado en Lean Logistics mediante un enfoque Kaizen para incrementar el on time de las operaciones de distribución de un operador logístico en Perú. Nuestro modelo propuesto es la integración de herramientas de Lean Logistics: VSM, 5S, SMED, y Estandarización del método de trabajo, a través de la mejora continua Kaizen. Si bien es cierto, al usarlas individualmente se obtiene un resultado positivo, uniéndolas este resultado mejora aún más dado que se complementan entre sí para obtener una mejora más eficiente. Por esa razón, nuestra investigación aportará a la comunidad científica latina con un nuevo modelo para los procesos de este sector donde elevarán su porcentaje de tiempo de entregas al 90% con un índice de incidencias de 30% y tiempo de set up de 1 hora.

In the current context, Peruvian logistics has shown a major blow to the Covid-19 pandemic, however it represents a great opportunity for improvement as new service protocols, high demand for distribution services will be implemented in the face of digital orders of different types of products and activation of investment projects. Therefore, certain problems that hinder the rapid distribution of products in the logistics sector must be reduced. One of the problems that has been identified is the low efficiency of the logistics processes, where it lies from the receipt of the goods to their delivery to the final customer, causing incidents and this reflected in penalties. In this sense, the main objective of this research is the proposal for improvement based on Lean Logistics through a Kaizen approach to increase the on-time distribution operations of a logistics operator in Peru. Our proposed model is the integration of Lean Logistics tools: VSM, 5S, SMED, and Standardization of the working method, through kaizen continuous improvement. While it is true, using them individually results in a positive result, joining them with this result improves even more since they complement each other for a more efficient improvement. For this reason, our research will provide the Latino scientific community with a new model for the processes of this sector where they will raise their percentage of delivery time to 90% with an incidence rate of 30% and set up time of 1 hour.
