Affective bonding of working mothers and children with ADHDResumen
This research explores the interaction that working mothers have with their children who have ADHD in order to understand the affective bond between them. A qualitative study of phenomenological character was carried out, where 6 mothers who work in the city of Lima were interviewed and have a son who has ADHD. To collect the information a semi-structured interview guide was used. For the analysis of the results, the information was systematized in five thematic axes that emerged from the data. The results reveal that there is an interaction with feelings of guilt, worry and exhaustion in the mother with her child. This research will provide updated information about the relationship between mothers and their children with ADHD in the Peruvian population with the expectation of constituting an empirically based resource for future psychotherapeutic plans and to make better decisions about parenting patterns.
