La finalidad del estudio es explorar las necesidades psicológicas y la afectividad negativa que surgen en las mujeres que han tenido cáncer de mama, por ello la investigación es cualitativa, con un diseño fenomenológico que busca entender y examinar las variables. Para lograr esto, se entrevistó a 7 mujeres que se encuentran en remisión total y que han pasado por un proceso de quimioterapia; además, la muestra se caracteriza por estar compuesta por madres que fueron atendidas en hospitales. La información fue recolectada mediante entrevistas semi estructuradas, el instrumento fue elaborado específicamente para la investigación. Se puede observar que las mujeres presentan una necesidad de cuidar sus vínculos más cercanos y de poder disfrutar más las actividades que realizan; además, perciben el cáncer de mama como un peligro latente.The purpose of the investigation is to explore the psychological needs and negative affect that arise in women who have had breast cancer, so the research is qualitative with a phenomenological design that seeks to understand and examine the variables. To achieve this, interviews were conducted to women who were in total remission and who had undergone a chemotherapy process; in addition, the sample is characterized as being mothers and that they were treated in hospitals. The information was collected through semi-structured interviews and this instrument was developed specifically for research. In this study It can be observed that women have a need to take care of their closest ties, especially those they have with their children, and to be able to enjoy more the activities they perform; they also perceive breast cancer as a latent danger.
