Imagen corporal y Estilos de vida en hombres universitarios de Lima

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre las dimensiones de imagen corporal y las dimensiones de estilos de vida en hombres universitarios de Lima entre los 18 y 25 años, a quienes se les aplicó el Body Shape Questionnaire (Palomino, 2017) y el Cuestionario de Estilos de vida en Jóvenes Universitarios (Chau y Saravia, 2014). Los resultados muestran una correlación positiva y estadísticamente significativa entre malestar corporal normativo y consumo de alcohol, tabaco y otras drogas (r = .24; p<.01), entre malestar corporal patológico con hábitos alimentarios (r = .20; p<.01) y consumo de alcohol tabaco y otras drogas (r = .22; p<.01).

The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between body image dimensions and lifestyle dimensions in university men from Lima between the ages of 18 and 25, to whom the Body Shape Questionnaire (Palomino, 2017) and the Cuestionario de Estilos de vida en Jóvenes Universitarios (Chau and Saravia, 2014) were applied. The results show a positive and statistically significant correlation between normative body discomfort and consumption of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (r =. 24; p<. 01), between pathological body discomfort with eating habits (r =. 20; p<. 01) and consumption of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (r =. 22; p<. 01).
