In a study conducted by Napoli et al. (2016) on the connection of brand authenticity with value building applied to products, it was observed that both variables are related to each other. However, after a literature review on the subject, there is evidence of the lack of research to determine whether brand authenticity is valuable for any type of brand (Napoli et al., 2016). For this investigation, a first empirical approach was made to continue that research, with the purpose of analyzing the connection between brand authenticity and value building applied to service brands. Because of some evidence was found that indicated the possible connection between both variables, the following hypothesis was raised: brand authenticity and value building have a decisively connection applied to service brands. A correlational type of methodological design was applied, using a case study method and a non-experimental quantitative technique. It was found that both variables have several tendencies among themselves, due to the significant differences found between the measurement instruments used, which shows a direct connection between the two variables applied to services. However, the evaluation of the selected cases did not allow to fully determine the validity of the hypothesis. Therefore, it is concluded that the hypothesis is conditional and can be partially validated due to the existence of key characteristics of the brands.
