Propuesta de mejora para reducir productos deteriorados en el almacén de una empresa que comercializa y transforma hierros y aceros, a través de Gestión por Procesos y el Ciclo de Mejora Continua en Lima, Perú

Abstract

El presente Proyecto de Investigación Aplicada consiste en la aplicación de Gestión por procesos y el ciclo de mejora continua en el almacén de una empresa que comercializa y transforma fierros y aceros, lo cual permitirá reducir el costo de reparación de los materiales deteriorados que se generan en el almacén. La metodología aplicada se encuentra basado en el uso de herramientas y métodos de la Ingeniería Industrial, entre las cuales están: Clasificación ABC Multicriterio y Diagrama de Ishikawa para la identificación de las causas del problema, Herramienta 5’s y 7 mudas para el orden y limpieza del almacén y finalmente, Gestión por Procesos para reestructurar las actividades que se realizan en la Empresa. De acuerdo con el diagnóstico, el problema principal de la Empresa es la cantidad de productos deteriorados que se generan en el almacén y en algunos casos originan la devolución de pedidos. La propuesta de solución está basada en la Gestión por Procesos y el ciclo de Deming. El aporte de esta investigación es ordenar el almacén, reestructurar los procesos de recepción, almacenamiento, control de inventario y picking con el fin de reducir el costo de reparación que incurre el material deteriorado. Finalmente, se evalúa la inversión económica que representará el Proyecto, con el fin de determinar si generará resultados beneficiosos para la Empresa.

The present Applied Research Project consists of the application of Management by processes and the cycle of continuous improvement in the warehouse of a company that markets and transforms iron and steel, which will reduce the cost of repair of deteriorated materials that are generated in the store. The methodology applied is based on the use of tools and methods of Industrial Engineering, among which are: Classification ABC Multicriterio and Diagram of Ishikawa for the identification of the causes of the problem, Tool 5's and 7 changes for the order and cleaning of the warehouse and finally, Process Management to restructure the activities carried out in the Company. According to the diagnosis, the main problem of the Company is the amount of deteriorated products that are generated in the warehouse and in some cases originate the return of orders. The solution proposal is based on Process Management and the Deming cycle. The contribution of this research is to order the warehouse, restructure the processes of reception, storage, inventory control and picking in order to reduce the repair cost incurred by the damaged material. Finally, the economic investment that the Project will represent is evaluated, in order to determine if it will generate beneficial results for the Company.
