Desde sus inicios, la humanidad ha basado su desarrollo en los proyectos, apoyándose en ellos para lograr la consecución de los objetivos planteados, objetivos que en la mayoría de los casos derivan de una necesidad. Pero la realización de proyectos no garantiza el éxito u obtención de los objetivos y/o resultados esperados, es por ello que la gerencia de los proyectos ha cobrado gran importancia en la sociedad y dentro de las organizaciones; el reclutamiento de personal en esta rama hace que las organizaciones tengan que realizar cambios dentro de su estructura para que este conocimiento a nivel de la organización sea realmente aprovechable, dentro de esta serie de cambios esta la implementación de una oficina de gerencia de proyectos. Por consiguiente, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo central diseñar una oficina de manejo de proyectos (PMO) para implementarla en el Proyecto Especial Sierra Centro Sur Zonal Cusco, en función de la problemática en de las ampliaciones de plazo y la mala gestión Obras. Para cumplir con el objetivo planteado, nos basaremos en componentes, bibliográficos, revisión documental, y uno de campo sustentado en la aplicación, tabulación y análisis de cuestionarios. Todo esto se realizó para evaluar la situación actual de la organización en conocimientos de gerencia de proyectos, que sirva para proponer la implementación de una PMO, adaptándose a los requerimientos actuales y futuros de los proyectos. Los resultados asociados a la medición de madurez en gestión de proyectos serán útiles no sólo para determinar cuán bien se están dirigiendo los proyectos en la actualidad, sino que también permitirán direccionar esfuerzos para atacar los puntos débiles o carencias encontradas en gestión de proyectos, aumentando de esta forma la eficiencia de los proyectos.Since its inception, humanity has based its development on projects, relying on them to achieve the objectives set, objectives that in most cases derive from a need. Therefore, the main objective of the present investigation is to design a project management office (PMO) to implement it in the Special Project of the Sierra Centro Sur Zonal Cusco, based on the problem of time extensions and mismanagement. In order to comply with the stated objective, we will base ourselves on components, bibliographic, documentary review, and one of field sustained in the application, tabulation and analysis of questionnaires. All this was done to evaluate the current situation of the organization in knowledge of project management, which serves to propose the implementation of a PMO, adapting to the current and future requirements of the projects. The results associated with the measurement of maturity in project management will be useful not only to determine how well projects are currently being directed, but also to direct efforts to attack the weak points or deficiencies found in project management, increasing This way the efficiency of the projects.
