Application of lean manufacturing in a peruvian clothing company to reduce the amount of non-conforming products(Springer, 2021-01-01)This article describes how Lean Manufacturing tools were applied in a Peruvian textile company. A production management model is proposed whose goal is to reduce the number of non-conforming products in the pants manufacturing line. For this, all information was gathered from the production area of the company under study. With the use of quality tools, the diagnosis of the current situation of the pants line was made, identifying the most significant defects, which were 19.43% of produced units in 2018. It was determined that the main causes of the observed defects refer to non-standardized sewing processes, quality control errors, non-standardized cutting processes, and poor production planning. The application of VSM and SMED allowed the correct standardization of denim pants production, TQM allowed proper control and quality management of the production process, and JIT for optimal production planning.Acceso restringido temporalmente
Development of supply chain quality management in peruvian blueberry companies: A case study in Cañete, Peru(ExcelingTech, 2019-01-01)The keen research objective is to develop a quality system in the Supply Chain Management geared to the agribusiness sector. The Supply Chain Quality Management (SCQM) proposed for blueberry companies must improve their operational performance. This study includes micro and small agricultural enterprises located in the Cañete region of Peru, where thanks to the interviews and questionnaires were possible to determine the critical practices, which will be applied in the agribusiness sector. The literature review found to enrich the methodical procedures that are essential practices of the innovative SCQM model. The research shows that the critical practices to develop quality management in this sector are Customer Relationship Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Process Management, and Human Resources Management. This research turns out to be utterly innovative because the use of the recently proposed technique of Quality Management into the Supply Chain combined with the best practices will lead to operational improvement andother qualitative advantages.Finally, the knowledge embedded in SCQM applied to small blueberry companies in an emerging country can provide added value to management to increase the competitiveness of the agribusiness sector.Acceso restringido temporalmente
The impact of asparagus supply chain quality management: An empirical research from Peru(ExcelingTech, 2020-01-01)This research analyzes the Peruvian organic production coffee industry, the relationship between Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Supply Chain Integration (SCI) concerning the performance of the Cooperatives and the Coffee Associations in Junin Region of Peru. It also analyzes the current scenario of the Coffee Sector and the participation of the Supply Chain (SC) in the processing and distribution of Organic Coffee in Junin, Peru. A diagnosis was made to the certified organizations from the market. The diagnosis and the surveys indicated that they do not have a correct flow of information, shared goals and objectives, strategic decisions, and sourcing materials among the different parties demonstrating the lack of interrelationship among the members. The final objective of this research is to improve the competitiveness of these organizations through the increase in the performance of the SC, for which a model of supply chain integration is proposed.Acceso restringido temporalmente
Quality management model for a small enterprise of pecan farmers in Ica el Valle - Peru(Springer Verlag, 2020-01-01)In this study, we propose a basic quality management model that was designed based on good agricultural practices for micro-enterprises of pecan farmers in Ica el Valle, Peru. The research study was developed based on in-depth interviews with 18 farmers within the agricultural sector under study. The study focused on identifying and analyzing the current situation of farmers to design a basic quality management model that can be implemented. The results led to the identification of critical aspects for each of the activities related to the production of nuts. We thus designed a basic quality management model based previous scientific studies. This management system is composed of the following subprocesses: quality adjustment; documentation; parameters definition; monitoring and control; and continuous improvement and analysis of results.Acceso restringido temporalmente
