The present research aimed to describe the relationship between social support and psychological well-being in older adults attending the Metropolitan Lima CIAM. For this, the Adaptation of Social Support Questionnaire of Moss (Cruz, 2010) and the Spanish Adaptation of Psychological Well-being Scale of Ryff (Díaz, 2006) were applied in a sample of 209 elderly people between 60 and 80 years old who attend the CIAMs of their residency districts. A positive relationship was found between both variables, pointing out that the higher perception of social support there will be greater psychological well-being. This indicates that emotional and effective resources contribute to the sense of well-being and optimal functioning in the elderly who were part of this study.
