AbstractThe present investigation proposes to analyze the performance evaluation system and the distribution of incentives applied to teaching staff to determine the main strategies to improve these factors to promote the working environment in the schools of the Congregation Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Congregation IHM). In the first chapter, we will develop the theoretical framework necessary to establish some proposals for improvement, addressing topics related to religious congregations, specifically the Congregation IHM; Organizational culture, work climate, performance evaluation, as well as the distribution of incentives and their relation to performance. Then, in the second chapter, we will approach the investigation methodology, that is, we will describe the problematic situation in the schools of Congregation IHM, and we will apply the semistructured interview as an instrument for collecting information. We will also collect information from the interview´s context as part of the investigation design. Subsequently, in the third chapter, we will perform the analysis of data and processing of the information collected through the guide of questions related to work climate and sense of belonging, performance evaluation, motivation and development in the organization, and laboral incentives; In turn these findings will be presented and discussed in the fourth chapter, where we will also indicate the barriers and gaps presented in the investigation. Finally, in the fifth chapter, we will offer the conclusions and recommendations that we propose to optimize the impact of the performance evaluation system in the working environment of the schools of the IHM Congregation.
