The present research aims to explore the process of mourning for the parental figures of the infancy during adolescence, through the literary creations elaborated by the participants themselves. For this purpose, from the qualitative paradigm, was used a phenomenological design and the multiple case study as a research strategy. Participants are amateur writers whose ages range from 20 to 25, and their stories were written between the ages of 20 and 23. For the collection of information, each participant gave two stories each, and later, a conversation was held with each around two axes: adolescence and writing. The main finding was that writing works as a psychic prosthesis that allows the young adolescent to connect with both their lost aspects and those aspects not assumed. This structure would enable the adolescent to develop a greater capacity of waiting and tolerance to frustration, and facilitate the transition to adult life.Type
