Determine if a media judgment was constructed in the news of the printed versions of the newspapers El Comercio and El Trome during the Paul Olórtiga case. For this, the content analysis of the 91 news ─41 of E.C and 50 news of E.T─ published on the case during the months of June to November 2014 was carried out. It was concluded that the media trial in the aforementioned case was not uniform. At the beginning of the case, news from both newspapers suggested that Olórtiga was involved in the death of his wife Edita Guerrero. During the time that Olórtiga was held in pretrial detention, until he was released under restricted appearance, the news was, for the most part, neutral. However, for many Peruvians, he will always be remembered as the killer of Edita Guerrero.
