AbstractSince year 2011, there is a quest for social inclusion of all people within the country. Part of this inclusion also considers people who have a disability that hinders them perform common activities of daily life. The search for a greater share of this population has been boosted further with the statement of the Law No. 29973, enacted on 2012, Ley de Personas con Discapacidad, which promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities, which represents nearly 6% of the total population of Peru, in the political, economic, social, cultural and technological aspects. This creates the need to know and find out what options are on the market to ease the adaptation and inclusion of these people in the various aspects mentioned and enhance their lifestyle. People with visual disabilities have many ways of communicating like the Braille system. Thanks to the massification of instant messaging on social networks and the mobile explosion, we can create new ways of interacting and make communication more accessible for this people using the Braille system. In this project we propose the develop of an application that allows these people with disabilities to communicate via a tablet. This will be possible, thanks to an Instant Messaging system and a braille keyboard. The visually impaired person can navigate the application thanks to the Screen Reader technology, which enables the person to understand how to navigate without seeing the screen. This document describes the development of the project with five chapters: description of the declaration and project planification – Descripción del Proyecto –, the principal concepts on which the project is based on – Marco Teórico –, the investigation of related past projects - Estado del Arte -, the project architecture – Arquitectura del Proyecto –, the methodologies and technology used in the project – Desarrollo del Proyecto –, and the results of the project and it's management – Gestión del Proyecto –. Finally, conclusions and recommendations are detailed.
