  • Webinar Tecnológico. Desarrollo y Gestión de Proyectos de Software: Introducción a ECMAScript 6 y TypeScript

    Orozco, Victor (2020-05-30)

  • Information architecture model for the successful data governance initiative in the peruvian higher education sector

Castillo, Luis Felipe; Raymundo, Carlos; Mateos, Francisco Dominguez (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2017-08)
The research revealed the need to design an information architecture model for Data Governance initiative that can serve as an intercom between current IT / IS management trends: Information technology (IT) management and information management. A model is needed that strikes a balance between the need to invest in technology and the ability to manage the information that originates from the use of those technologies, as well as to measure with greater precision the generation of IT value through the use of quality information and user satisfaction, using the technologies that make it possible for the information to reach them to be used in their daily work.
  • Approaches based on tree-structures classifiers to protein fold prediction

Mauricio-Sanchez, David; de Andrade Lopes, Alneu; higuihara Juarez Pedro Nelson (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2017-08)
Protein fold recognition is an important task in the biological area. Different machine learning methods such as multiclass classifiers, one-vs-all and ensemble nested dichotomies were applied to this task and, in most of the cases, multiclass approaches were used. In this paper, we compare classifiers organized in tree structures to classify folds. We used a benchmark dataset containing 125 features to predict folds, comparing different supervised methods and achieving 54% of accuracy. An approach related to tree-structure of classifiers obtained better results in comparison with a hierarchical approach.
  • Software defined radio for hands-on communication theory

Miyashiro, Hector; Medrano, Melissa; Huarcaya, Jose; Lezama, Jinmi (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2017-08)
Based on a workshop developed at INICTEL-UNI, this paper presents the methodology and considerations taken to improve the experiences in communication laboratory sessions in Peruvian universities with Software Defined Radio platforms, using a HackRF-One for transmission and a RTL-SDR for reception together with GNUradio Companion, an open source software. The use of these tools allows real communications to be implemented with low cost, simplicity and flexibility that represents a perfect combination for undergraduate laboratory sessions. In addition, it is also presented an 8-PSK communication system implementation as an experience to digital communications as a viability of this proposal.
  • Predictive modeling for presumptive diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus based on symptomatic analysis

Barrios, Ordonez; Alberto, Diego; Infantes, Vizcarra; Raphael, Erick; Aguirre, Armas; Alexander, Jimmy (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2017-08)
The purpose of using Predictive Modeling for presumptive diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus based on symptomatic analysis is the optimization of the diagnosis phase of the disease through the process of evaluating symptomatic characteristics and daily habits, allowing the forecasting of T2DM without the need of medical exams through predictive analysis. The tool used was SAP Predictive Analytics and in order to identify the most suitable algorithm for the prediction, we evaluated them based on precision and false positive/negative relations, having found the Auto Classification algorithm as the most accurate with a 91.7% precision and a better correlation between false positives (8) and false negatives (3).
  • Modelo de asociación entre objetos y estilos de aprendizajes para una Plataforma de aprendizaje adaptativo

Luis Maza Arnao; Raymundo Ibañez, Carlos Arturo; Dominguez, Francisco (International Institute of Informatics and Systemics, IIIS, 2017-03)
Adaptive learning systems constitute a new approach to e-learning systems, they allow adapting the content to the individual characteristics of students. Two of its main components are the domain model and the student model, whose key elements are the learning objects (OA) and learning style, respectively. LOs are digital educational content provided by the course while learning style will define how the student learns. Within this context the motivation of this study is to propose a partnership model for relating the LOs with student learning styles. After conducting a systematic review of previous work related a mathematical model of partnership LOs and learning styles by reference to their type of format and content type to determine which is associated LOs better student learning style is presented.

  • Modelo de Gestión del Portafolio Digital del nivel de Percepción sobre la Evaluación del Aprendizaje del Estudiante

Erika Nancy Castillo Pantoja; Raymundo Ibañez, Carlos Arturo (nternational Institute of Informatics and Systemics, IIIS, 2017-03)
The digital management model portfolio emerges as an alternative for the evaluation of the learning that acts as support in the performance of the process of teaching and the continuous improvement of the students learning process, in the course thesis of the computing and systems engineering program, providing the opportunity for being the host of his own learning. The main feature of this tool is that allows the evidence management and the self-assessment of this learning involving cognitive and metacognitive processes leading to consider it one of the most important educational innovations in the university environment.

  • Modelo de madurez Tecno-organizacional para la puesta en marcha exitosa de iniciativas de Data Governance

Ampuero Mendoza, Libusi; Alfaro Carranza, Rosa (International Institute of Informatics and Systemics, IIIS, 2017-03)
Data management has undergone several changes over the last few years, leaving behind the days when it was necessary to convince people about the value of data in their organizations. Over the years, the volume and expense of data management have been increasing at a high rate. Today, organizations need to have strategic management that allows them to transform data collected from various sources with clear and accurate information. So, that they can dispose of it when they need it. The motivation of the present study is to generate a model of measurement of the level of organizational maturity that allows them to ensure the success of a Data Governance initiative. In this way ensure that all the information of the organization meets the demands of the business. It is for this reason that an organizational maturity model is proposed for the success of Data Governance initiatives based on 11 categories taking into consideration the analysis of the most widespread and adopted frameworks by industry (Kalido, Dataflux, etc.) in order to know the level of maturity and the steps to be taken at each of these levels. In this way ensure the success of a Data Governance initiative.

  • MMDES: Multimedia Digital Ecosystem

Asres Kidanu, Salomon; Cardinales, Yudith; Chbeir, Richard; De Ponte, Víctor; Figueroa, Alejandro; Rodríguez, Figueroa; Raymundo Ibañez, Carlos Arturo (Computational Science and Engineering, 2016-08)
Currently multimedia contents dominate the information exchanged in Internet, particularly through social networks. Each actor on the Internet becomes producer and consumer of contents. Nevertheless, social network and other traditional collaborative environments present limitations regarding content selection, categorization, aggregation, linking and interoperability, and usage control and privacy. In [1], we proposed the architecture (based on a peer-to-peer infrastructure and Semantic Web) of a MultiMedia Digital EcoSystem (MMDES), as a new environment for collaboration and sharing of multimedia resources, multimedia processings, as well as for computing and storage capabilities. In this paper, we describe MMDES framework and functionalities related to managing the collective knowledge and equilibrium in MMDES. We also describe the implementation of MMDES using a mobile platform in order to provide resources’ sharing for the Archivo Nacional de Arte Rupestre (ANAR) in Venezuela
